Dawson, Munro Lead the Way as Warriors Romp in Kansas

Overland Park, KS -- The Indian Hills golf team had one final chance to show what they could do during the fall campaign and the Warriors didn't waste the opportunity. Playing against five other teams in the Iowa/Kansas Clash this week, the Warriors had a convincing team win, finishing 20 strokes ahead of second-place Dodge City CC. IHCC held a six-shot advantage after the first 18 holes on Monday, then ran away from the field with a team score of 291 Tuesday.

A pair of freshmen, Dan Dawson and Cameron Munro, led the way the Indian Hills. Dawson and Munro each had a 146 total, two over par for the tourney. Both had outstanding rounds on Tuesday -- Munro shooting a one-under par 71 and Dawson firing an even-par 72. Freshman Matt Solis, playing as an individual, had the third-best score for the Warriors, a 147, that included an even-par 72 on the first day. Sophomore Justin Weber had rounds of 75 and 74 and was next for the Warriors with a 149 total.
