Fourth-Place Tie for IHCC in Mississippi

Meridian, MS -- The Indian Hills golf team trailed the leader by 12 strokes after the first 18 holes of the Lou Hart Invitational and the Warriors never threatened after that in finishing in a tie for 4th out of nine teams.

Central Alabama and Meridian tied for the team title with Meridian winning the meet in a sudden-death playoff. The Warriors wound up 22 shots out of first.

Steven Ihm led Indian Hills' six-player squad with a tie for 5th place. Ihm had rounds of 73 and 77 on the first day and finished with a one-over par 72 on Tuesday.

Matt Solis tied for 12th with a 226 total. Solis rebounded after a second-round 81 with a 73 on the final day. Teammate Zach Steffen also recovered after some early disappointment. Steffen opened up with an 81, then followed with a 72 and a 75.

The Warriors will be right back in action on Friday and Saturday in the Eagle-Statesmen Spring Classic.
