Big Second Day Allows IHCC to Take William Jewell Invite

Liberty, Mo. -- Unfazed by a one-stroke deficit after the first day of play, Indian Hills posted a score that was 11 strokes better than runnerup Bethany College over the second 18 holes to win their second straight tourney on Friday.

The Warriors won the team title at the William Jewell Spring Invite by 10 shots over Bethany and IHCC had all seven of its golfers in the top 17.

Indian Hills' Jon Paul Blampied and Mitch Tucker tied for second place with 148 totals. They were five strokes behind Bethany's James Tisdale, who took medalist honors with a one-under par 143.

Ben Ludlam of IHCC was one shot behind his teammates and tied for 4th place. Monty Lack was 6th and Kevin Workman tied for 8th.

Ludlam's opening-round 71 was the best score of the tourney for Indian Hills and the only under-par round. Both Blampied and Lack shot 73s in the second 18 holes.

Indian Hills will take part in the Iowa-Kansas Clash in Newton, Kansas Apr. 22-23.
