Milan, Ill. -- With six of the top 12 individual scores, Indian Hills came from behind after the first round to defeat Illinois Wesleyan for the team title in the Augustana Invitational.
The Warriors were three strokes in back of IWU after the opening round, then turned things around with a team total of 294 over the next 18 holes, ten shots better than Illinois Wesleyan.
Indian Hills dominated the top of the leaderboard with the Warriors' William White tying Illinois Wesleyan's Gabe Aprati for individual medalist honors with a 147 total. White had rounds of 74 and 73 over the par-72 Pinnacle Country Club course.
Connor Peck just missed getting a share of the individual title, shooting a final-round 72 to finish one shot behind the co-titleists. Colin Pearson was another two shots back in a tie for 5th place. Mitch Tucker was 8th, Ben Ludlam tied for 9th and Luke Monson tied for 11th for IHCC. All three lowered their first-day scores in the second round.
Indian Hills returns to action in the Iowa/Kansas Clash in Newton, Kansas Apr. 22-23.
