Peck Headed to Kansas

Ottumwa -- Indian Hills Community College golfer Connor Peck has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Kansas University next year.  Peck, an IHCC freshman from Ankeny, reportedly had scholarship offers from both Kansas and Iowa.

After Indian Hills’ 2013 spring season, Peck will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Peck enjoyed a strong fall season in his introduction to collegiate golf.  He finished in the top 18 in all four meets in which the Warriors competed.  He fired a 64 in his first round of the fall, in the Wichita Diet Pepsi Shocker Invitational, and went on to finish in a tie for seventh place.
Peck’s best finish came in the Community 1st Credit Union Invitational, hosted by Indian Hills at the Ottumwa Country Club, where he was the runner-up after a final-round 67.
Earning first-team all-state honors as a junior and senior at Ankeny High School, Peck was the recipient of the Herman Sani Scholarship from the Iowa Golf Association.
